Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, Founder and CEO of the Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) has been awarded under the education category at the recent Arab Women Awards ceremony which took place on the evening of the 10th of December, 2016.
The Arab Woman Awards established by ITP in 2009 were launched with the aim of providing a culturally accepted platform to raise public awareness of the significant achievements of Arab women across the GCC & to provide positive role models for young women. The ten-year vision is to have awarded over 500 inspirational, talented & deserving Arab women.
The event which took place under the patronage and gracious presence of HE Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan; Minister of Culture, Youth, and Social Development in the UAE at the Sheraton Resort and Spa in Sharjah, UAE recognized twenty inspirational women in areas that include education, business, ,entrepreneurship, charity, media and literature among others in a glittering gala dinner. During the event a special tribute to the late Ameera Bin Karam, an inspirational woman who contributed to empowering and strengthening the economic status of women and who chaired the award took place.
The award considers women’s’ outstanding achievement and contribution in their particular field and is assessed by a highly qualified jury that include HE Sheikha Nawar Al Qassimi, Sharjah Art Foundation, Dr. Nawal Al-Hosany, Masdar’s Director of Sustainability, Reem Alshemari, Director of Strategic Communications Affairs at the Executive Affairs Authority, Noor Sweid, Partner at Leap Ventures, Dr. Mona Hammami, Director at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’S Court, leading Abu Dhabi business woman among others.
In her statement after winning Arab Woman Award UAE 2016, for the Education Category, Dr. Hadj-Hamou said “ I am truly honored to be considered for this prestigious award that aims at creating awareness about women achievements in a diversified range of areas including education. I am grateful to all those who have started the journey of establishing CLICKS with me as a unique center supporting the development and growth of higher education across the Arab region. I would also want to take the opportunity to thank the organizers of the award for this important initiative”.
