
CLICKS is delighted to announce that as part of its established partnership with the University of Texas at Austin, a three day joint program on “Innovative Methods for Student-Centered Teaching” will be organized in Dubai, UAE from the 11th to the 13th of April, 2015. The ‘hands-on’ program which will be facilitated by a group of experts will consider various aspects of relevance to Teaching and Learning including curriculum design, building communities of learning, assessment and feedback among others. It will aim at supporting faculty and teaching staff with designing curricular experiences that are student centered and that encourage a deep approach to learning. It will also consider how to design learning experiences using a variety of techniques including the use of educational technologies and discuss how these are reshaping the practice of learning and teaching nowadays.
“The program is an attempt from the Center to merge global trends with the local and regional context in order to enhance pedagogy, better engage students and empower them through creating engaging and student- centric learning environment.
