
The Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions has participated at the recent International Congress on ICT in Education themed Education Reforms in the Internet Age & Education 20130 Agenda organized by Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the Shandong Provincial Education Department in the City of Qingdao in China from the 22nd to the 24th of June, 2016.
The Congress which was attended by over 500 participants representing over 90 different countries was organized in the context of the Education 2030 Framework for Action and the Follow-up Actions of Qingdao Declaration for the use of ICT in Education announced last year.
Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, Founder and CEO of CLICKS through her keynote presentation, has shared with participants the progress, opportunities and challenges facing the implementation of ICT in Education across the Arab region.
In her intervention she has highlighted several regional and national initiatives taken including those at government level dealing with the development of national policies for ICT in Education, Infrastructural regional and national progress, curriculum reforms considering the integration of ICT, teachers’ development frameworks, MOOCs and MOOCs platforms initiatives, among others.
Dr. Hadj- Hamou has also emphasized on the digital divide between different Arab states and the country level ICT Readiness and maturity level.
She has concluded by sharing some of the major challenges facing the wider adoption of ICT in the region at national, institutional and teacher level.
