
The Center for Learning Innovation and Customized Knowledge Solution, has announced its activities for the forthcoming academic year 2017-2018 including its schedule of public programs; its refined portfolio of consultancy activities and its list of ‘in-house’ programs.
The various activities of the Center are annually refined to ensure we continue to respond to the dynamic and emerging needs and requirements of Higher Education Institutions both regionally and globally. These activities are offered along the following five core areas of expertise of the Center 1) Leadership Development and Governance 2) Strategy Development 3) Quality Assurance and Accreditation 4) Innovative Learning and Teaching including technology integration in HE and 5) Research.
CLICKS will be offering nine ‘short’ public programs between September and May including jointly certified programs such as the program on Project Based Learning co-organized with the University of Texas at Austin in the USA that will take place in February 2018. All public programs are open for registration to academic leaders, faculty and staff from universities and colleges across the region and beyond looking at continuously upgrading and enhancing their skills in specific areas. Such programs are carefully designed to consider the context in which we operate and to provide a blend of theoretical and practical components along with an opportunity to learn from peers.
The Academic year 2017-8 will also witness the organization of the 3rd MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum (www.menahelf.com) that will take place from the 14th to the 16th of November, 2017 at the Address Dubai Mall, Dubai- UAE under the theme “Strengthening the Dialogue between Higher Education, Government and Industry: Working Together towards a Common Vision”. The Forum organized by the Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) in partnership with the Association of Arab Universities having its headquarters in Jordan and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) based in the USA will involve participants from more than 60 countries and will invite more than 30 speakers and presenters from across the globe.
The Center has also announced it will be as of this academic year organizing a Summer and Winter Leadership Institute which will take place in the United Kingdom. The Leadership Institute provides future and current leaders of higher education with a unique opportunity to advance their leadership skills within the context of Higher Education. The Program will be delivered over 5 days and comprises six different modules.
Moreover and in an attempt to build a community of practice, CLICKS will be as of September starting a series of free online sessions addressing key issues of relevance to the regional and international higher education arena. Participants will be able to attend our live sessions by joining our Facebook Group titled Higher Education Advocates (HEA) which will be available as of June 30th.
In less than 5 years, the Center has trained over 3000 members from the HE community representing more than 80 higher education institution and 27 countries including members of governing bodies and university presidents and vice presidents to faculty members and staff working in student services and other supportive functions.
