The Center for Learning Innovation and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) is pleased to have signed yesterday (4th November, 2019 in Dubai, UAE) a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic University of Lebanon (IUL) from the Republic of Lebanon.
The MoU established a formal long term framework for collaboration between the two institutions and was signed by Dr. Dina Maoula, President of University and Dr Narimane Hadj-Hamou, CEO of CLICKS in the presence of colleagues from both institutions.
The Islamic University of was founded in 1996 as a nonprofit private institution targeting at graduating men and women seeking knowledge and committed to creative and critical thinking, life-long learning, civic responsibility, and leadership. It has currently three campuses in Lebanon and nine Faculties offering 70 programs leading to the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees delivered in English and French laungague.
IUL also received unconditional accreditation for five years until 2024 by the HCERES (Haut Conseil de l’Evaluation da la Recherche et de l’Enseignement Superieur) and has bilateral cooperation relations with various well-known universities and educational institutions in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
Under this agreement CLICKS will support the Islamic Lebanese University short and longer term goals and its strategic growth for the next couple years. Under the MOU, CLICKS will provide its expertise and ‘know-how’ in areas related to learning and teaching, research, strategy articulation and quality assurance among others through the provision of consultancy services tailored to the needs and priorities of the university and via facilitating faculty and staff professional development.
In this context, IUL President Dr. Dina Maoula said “This agreement is in line with the mission and vision of the Islamic University of Lebanon (IUL), we at IUL are interested in signing an MOU with CLICKS as we believe this will help us attain many of our strategic priorities in the areas of strategy formulation, governance, teaching and learning, quality assurance and accreditation and research. The Islamic University of Lebanon is fully confident that the MOU between IUL & CLICKS will be a fruitful cooperation on the long run”
Dr. Hadj-Hamou on her end added “We are delighted to have the Islamic Lebanese University join our network of clients and partners and look forward to working hand in hand with them to help them achieve their strategic goals. We aim also at empowering IUL faculty and staff with the necessary skills and expertise required to facilitate their journey towards academic excellence.”
