Covid 19 As a Catalyst for Innovation in Higher Education

CLICKS Takes Part of Longest Online Conference

CLICKS represented through its CEO, Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou has taken part of an event which was organized over more than 28 hours as an attempt to break the Guinness world record for the longest online Zoom meeting(over 28 hours). The event was organized by Lebanon News Online under the patronage of HE Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, the Minister of Information of Lebanon.

The event which started on the 28th of February at 8:00 Beirut time and continued until 2:00 pm on the next day focused on the impact of COVID-19 on the education, healthcare, economy, industry and tourism sectors and brought in a very diverse range of 100 speakers from across different parts of the globe and several renowned experts in the field of media including Mr. George Kurdahi, a well- known Lebanese TV presenter and ex-host of the Arabic version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire which was broadcasted on MBC channel. In addition to the presence of the Information Minister Dr. Manal Abdel Samad who has kicked off the event.

Dr. Narimane’s intervention focused on how Covid-19 acted as a catalyst for transformation and innovation in Higher Education and how the sector should start planning for the new normal to ensure it can capitalize on the lessons learnt and ensuring universities remain agile to unknown future post the pandemic

Other education experts from Canada, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco were also involved in this scientific marathon.
