The Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions- CLICKS (www.cli-cks.com) has announced today the launch of institutional awards to recognize and celebrate higher education institutions from across the globe that demonstrated outstanding performance and/ or innovation in specific areas such as digital transformation, research, service to the community, etc.
The award will be administered on an annual basis and is now open for application for its first inaugural cycle. The deadline for submission of applications is the 10th of February, 2022 at 20:00 GMT
At the initial stage, the inaugural cycle of the award will comprise the following categories:
- Award of Excellence for Digital Transformation
- Award of Excellence for Research Impact
- Award of Excellence for Outstanding Non- Profit Contribution to the Community
- Award of Excellence for Disruptive Education
Other categories that will be launched in the next cycle will cover aspects of: 1) Equity & Inclusivity 2) internationalization 3) entrepreneurship and 4) leadership outstanding achievement (individual recognition).
The award has been named after the late Professor Mohamed Zairi; who has passed away on October 20th, 2021 and will be known as the “Zairi International Award for Excellence in Higher Education” .
Professor Zairi was a very well-respected expert in the field of quality and excellence who has during his life time published over 70 books and led numerous international and regional government level excellence awards. He was recognized globally for his contribution in the field and received several medals and recognitions.
The Award is managed by an International Executive Committee comprising of six international experts in the fields of higher education as well as quality and excellence.
All applications received will be screened by the Executive Committee of the award to ensure they meet the submission guidelines and will be evaluated via a two-stage process based on the selection criteria of each award category following a pre-defined application template.
The Jury comprising three independent highly recognized experts in the field of higher education will then make final decision about the winners that will be announced this year at the opening ceremony of the 5th MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum.
