CLICKS and NASPA Enter into a Collaboration to Support the Advancement of the Profession of Student Affairs in the Region and Beyond

As part of its ongoing expansion and within the context of its recently launched strategic plan 2022-2026 which involved the addition of professional development programs, consulting serving and mentoring in the areas of academic advising,student success and student services; The Center for Learning Innovation and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) has entered yesterday the 3 rd of October, 2022 into a new collaboration with the US based Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA). NASPA is a leading higher education student affairs organization established in 1918 to provide programs, experiences, and services and has a mission to become “ the leading voice of student affairs, that drives innovation and evidence-based, student-centered practice throughout higher education, nationally and globally”

Within the framework of this collaboration both parties agreed to collaboratively work on the development, delivery and certification of capacity building programs in the field of leadership and management in student services and administration.

The agreement which was signed from NASPA side by Dr. Stephanie A. Gordon, Vice President for Professional Development and from CLICKS side by Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, Founder and CEO will within its framework focus on: The offering of joint capacity building programs (both public and in-house) to support the development of knowledge and skills of student administrators within the MENA region and beyond.

(i) Promoting the transfer of best practices in areas of mutual expertise and focus.
(ii) Jointly engaging in awareness programs and webinars promoting excellence in student services.
(iii) Jointly organizing conference and other networking events.
(iv) Academic and subject matter experts’ exchanges

Dr. Hadj-Hamou, said within this context “We are delighted of having the opportunity to work with NASPA and bringing years of experience in the area of student affairs; together we aim at cultivating student learning and success taking into consideration the specific context of the region”

As part of this newly formed collaboration, the two parties are planning a range of activities starting with a webinar that will take place next month on November 10th, 2022 under the theme “Embracing the Power of the Holistic Student Life Cycle”. The webinar will be delivered over four hours as an interactive session facilitated by Dr. Mordecai Ian Brownlee, President, Community College of Aurora (USA); another in-person workshop is also planned during the first quarter of 2023.
