The Center for Learning Innovation and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) in partnership with l’ Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (Direction régionale Moyen-Orient) have partnered together to support the recent transition of the higher education sector to online learning in light of the spread of the Covid -19 Pandemic and the shift of institutions of learning globally to online education as to minimize disruption to the sector. This partnership comes within the context of the MoU signed September of last year between the two parties.
As part of the agreement the two organizations will be offering a series of four- hour webinars around Teaching Effectively Online; Student Assessment in Online Learning and Policies and Strategies for the Higher Education Sector beyond the Pandemic which the latter is primarily geared towards senior leaders and administrators. The webinars are open to registration only to AUF members.
The first webinar on “Transitioning Effectively to Online Teaching” took place on May the 20th, 2020 and engaged participants from Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Canada, France and Iraq from among faculty and teaching staff as well as Deans. The other two webinars are planned later next month and will take place on June 11th, 2020 for the one on “Transitioning to the New Normal in Higher Education: Strategies and Policies Implications” and on June the 18th for that on Student Assessment.
