Randa Mikati holds an Honours degree in Computer Science from McMaster University, Canada and a Master degree in Educational Technology from the University of Balamand, Lebanon. She has been an ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education) Certified Educator since 2021. Randa’s journey in education began in 2013 when she started teaching educational technology courses at various higher education and vocational institutions in Lebanon. Passionate about technology’s important role in education, she co-founded MaharaTech in 2018.

Throughout her career, Randa has coordinated and facilitated many courses such as online methodologies, interactive online content, gamification, advanced PowerPoint techniques for educators, and notably, AI for educators. Shortly after the inception of ChatGPT in November 2022, Randa passionately delivered the AI for Educators course to multiple cohorts where she enabled participants to understand and effectively use AI tools in their classroom.

Randa is committed to stay at the forefront of AI in education through continuous learning. Her most recent endeavor involved completing the ISTE course “Artificial Intelligence Exploration and their Practical Use in Schools.”
