Stefan Hrastinski is Associate Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he serves as Co-Director for the Technology-enhanced learning research group and Director for the Math coach project. His research focuses on educational technology and instructional design, with emphasis on online learning and collaboration in educational and organizational settings. Hrastinski’s Ph.D. is from 2007 with a dissertation titled Participating in Synchronous Online Education. He frequently presents his research in international journals and conferences. Hrastinski recently received the Best in track award for K-12 education at the 17th Sloan-C International Conference on Online Learning. He teaches courses on theory of science and online learning and supervises theses on bachelor, master and Ph.D. level
